Topic: “Condition Diagnosis of Blade Bearings – Permanent Monitoring vs. Periodic Inspection?”
Many operators are currently looking for ways to permanently monitor blade bearings, similar to drivetrain monitoring. However, due to the specific operating characteristics of the pitch system, other diagnostic approaches can be equally effective and economically viable.
In our presentation, we will discuss when permanent monitoring offers advantages, when periodic measurements make more sense – and how both approaches can be implemented using our KSM technology.

Measurement Campaign for End of Warranty Check
MML has been commissioned to carry out a comprehensive measurement campaign for the End of Warranty in several wind farms in Germany. Using our innovative KSM-System, the condition of the drivetrain, pitch- and yaw-systems will be precisely assessed before the warranty expires. The measurements cover all relevant components in a total of 15 modern multi-megawatt turbines and are completed within just a few days with maximum efficiency. This campaign ensures that potential issues are identified early, guaranteeing optimal operation of the turbines even after the warranty period ends.
